Acquisition System

Connect and Interact with the ChemParser Service

Acquisition system

There are two ways to connect with the chemparser service.

Through our API which returns a unique identification code of 16 digits for each SDS sent.

Through a drag & drop function where you can upload a zip file containing your SDS.

Both methods allow you to track the progress of the process:

document Received, Processed, in Quality Check or Ready.

Each status precisely defines where the SDS is located.

chemparser service

different status

Received : the SDS has been received by ChemParser but has not been processed yet.

Processed: an operator will check the reported warnings. If necessary he ask Labs for a “teaching session”, otherwise confirms the transition to quality check status.

Quality check : an operator is carrying out the final quality control on the extraction results.

Ready: the document is available to be acquired by the sender.

AUTOMATIC FILTERS

Document Type

ChemParser Technology can detect and distinguish between fully valid SDS cards and other formats like raster, non-SDS documents, or multiple SDS documents

raster

• For the Raster type, as in the case of scanned pdf, ChemParser will promptly send back the result with the corresponding tag. If it represents the last revision of that Safety Data Sheet, the customer will have to supply a non-raster document.

no sds

• For the non-SDS type, like in the case of information brochures or other pdfs docs, Chemparser understands that the document doesn’t represent a Safety Data Sheet, and provides this feedback to the sender.

multiple sds

• For PDFs containing multiple SDS, the data will be extracted and provided back only for the first SDS encountered in the PDF.

quality of data

ChemParser means
High Data Quality

The Data extracted from the cards must pass numerous tests that ensure high reliability and accuracy of the data provided

Any unclear or inconsistent data is reported

eNCODING PROCESS

Codification
of Data Extracted

Thanks to the encoding process, any data, even reported in multiple syntactic or grammatical forms, results in a single and precise value

Encoding of EXTRACTED data

In the “ghs class desc” on your right, you can see the descriptions found into the sds and in the “ghs class code” the corresponding ghs class and category codes defined by GHS. This allow you to search among different SDSs for the same information.

Thanks to the codification process you can:

Find through  thousands of SDSs the ones which has the same product name or code or discern Substances from Mixtures.

Collect your SDSs by language or manufacturer or revision date or any other codified information.

Be aware to look at the latest version of your SDSs and to respect the advices and restrictions of use.
